What to expect during the interview:
As the show's title is My Worst Investment Ever, your interview should focus on just one story. Sometimes, your worst investment is not the one that lost you the most money; I’ve even had people on the show telling me about worst investments where they didn’t lose money at all, but something else. The important thing is that our listeners can learn from your story. What follows are the main questions I will ask you on the show:
[ANDREW]: Fellow Risk Takers, this is your worst podcast host, Andrew Stotz from A. Stotz Academy, and I’m here with featured guest, [First name Last name]
QUESTION 1: [First name], are you ready to join our mission?
[Andrew reads guest bio]
QUESTION 2: [First name], take a minute and tell us a bit about the unique value you bring to this wonderful world. [Answer: About 1min]
Tell the audience something memorable about you. Andrew may ask you some questions about what you do so that the audience feels excited about how you could add value to their life. This is a good time to talk about the things valuable things you are bringing to the world.
QUESTION 3: Now, it’s time to share your Worst Investment Ever! And since no one goes into their Worst Investment thinking it will be, tell us a bit about the circumstances leading up to it and then tell us your story. [Answer: About 3mins]
Take 2-5 minutes to tell your story. The story can be about anything that you consider your worst investment. Invite our listeners on a journey of suspense. Help the audience understand why you went into this investment and when and how it started to turn sour. Share your worst moment and how it felt, so the audience can relate to how you felt at that time.
QUESTION 4: What lessons did you learn from this experience? [Andrew: About 2min]
[ANDREW] Now, let me summarize what I took away from your story and let me know if I missed anything. [2min]
QUESTION 5: Based on what you learned from this story and what you continue to learn, what one action would you recommend our listeners take to avoid suffering the same fate? [30 seconds]
Think of the listener who is about to make this same mistake. Imagine how overwhelmed they feel right now. Help them by giving them one action they could take today!
QUESTION 6: What is a resource you would recommend for our listeners? [30 seconds]
Feel free to share any of your or other resources. It can also be a free or paid resource that you provide. The main thing is that it is something that the listeners will see as valuable. It could be a book, an app, a routine, a diet, or anything that has benefited you.
QUESTION 7: Last question! What’s your #1 goal for the next 12 months? [30 seconds]
As we conclude, [First name], I want to thank you again for joining our mission. And on behalf of A. Stotz Academy, I hereby award you alumni status for turning your worst investment ever into your best teaching moment.
QUESTION 8: Do you have any parting words for our audience? [10 secs]
